The deluxe queen rooms have a comfortable queen AND an additional twin bed in the same room. The actual layout is unique in each room. Two of our rooms, Black Sands and Volcano have an additional optional bedroom attached.
Green Sands is a standard double room and might be my favorite. This is the room we most often reserve for couples. It used to have a bed and a pullout couch. We tossed the sleeper sofa and gave it a twin. Technically its the same as our deluxe queen room.
Macadamia, also a deluxe queen, has a twin in an adjacent entry area with doors between for more privacy. This works great for adults or older children traveling with friends or family. The ‘tip’ for this room is to know it takes a LONG time for the hot water to arrive. Its clear on the opposite end from the on demand heater. Once it gets there you’ll never run out!
The Black Sands room is also categorized as a deluxe queen. The ‘twin bed’ is actually a bunkbed in this case. There is also an adjacent room with a full sized bed that can be opened if needed for an additional fee. This room is best for a family with more than one child.
The Volcano room is a deluxe queen and can be rented alone. The Lava room is a second bedroom with a private entrance that can only be rented with the Volcano room… after all without the volcano there would be no lava right? There is a shared bathroom between the rooms, and each room has its own television.
